In the magical story of Juraj Herz, according to the fairy tale Hans Christian Andersen, two fairies are going through the old Prague one evening - worry (J. Brejchová) and fortune with her young helper Mina (T. Pokorná). Because happiness has a birthday, she decides to give people a gift - she enchants quite ordinary slippers to fulfill every wish of their wearer. The slippers that evening then alternate one owner after another and everything they have ever dreamed becomes reality. But what people want is often very tricky, and it can not always bring one fortune happiness. Rather, it happens that suffering. This is also convinced of a fortune who understands that everyone must deserve happiness themselves…
