At first, everyone treated Ivan Kondakov, a young inventor, with irony. But a mine is a mine. And so his absent-mindedness, tardiness, and other frivolous behavior were often ridiculed in the miners' newspaper. His school friend Lelia, who had graduated from medical school, no longer understood the
