Surfaces speaks about continuity, it is a single rhythmic plane which is sustained by music. The best commentary on it is related to a phrase from Georges Petrix: What is the meaning of form, color, material? Why is it there? If it's only to make someone say "yes, isn't that pretty, isn't that nice?
