The story follows Wen Hai, a 17‑year‑old boy who suddenly loses both of his parents in an accident. Because he’s underage, a court places him under the legal guardianship of his wealthy but emotionally distant half‑brother, Gu Huaizhou, whom he’s never met before. At first, Gu Huaizhou treats Wen Ha
