Bogdan, at the request of his wife Wiktoria’s therapist, agrees to help her organise a birthday party for their deceased son – a gesture intended to help her come to terms with her loss. Weighed down by his own unresolved grief, Bogdan himself sees that he’s gradually losing the strength to support
