It's 2003. The Thunder Platoon, a group of Colombian army soldiers between the ages of 18 and 23, is celebrating its latest combat victory at a farm in the tropics: they have killed nine suspected guerrillas. Under the blazing sun, amid laughter, music, and alcohol, they are also celebrating that th
