When China’s coast collapsed in 1937, a lifeline was forced through the mountains: the Burma Road. Along it came thousands of overseas Chinese from Southeast Asia - later called the Nanyang Mechanics - returning to a homeland many had never seen to keep the war effort alive. This documentary revives
