Declaration of the New Breed (1990)
This unusual work by director Hiroyuki Arikawa portrays, just as they are, the elusive habits and everyday lives of the shinjinrui (“new breed”) generation a term used in Japan for the younger generation that emerged in the 1980s, often seen as difficult for older generations to understand.
