The Birth of Goddess Aphrodite
In ancient Greek mythology, the birth of Aphrodite (known as Venus in Roman mythology) is told in two different ways. The most famous story comes from the poet Hesiod, who said she rose from the ocean seafoam near the coast of Cyprus.
