Pour s'approprier le ranch Conroy, Flash Carson tue le propriétaire, mais il doit maintenant éliminer son héritière, Billie Conroy. Il ignore qu'un autre héritier existe, Tom Manning. Se faisant passer pour un tueur, il est enrôlé dans la bande de Carson.
