- Кристина родилась в типичной голливудской семье — богатой артистическими и музыкальными традициями. Её отец — Бобби Эпплгейт — работал на звукозаписывающую компанию, а мать — Нэнси Придди — снималась в сериале «Колдунья» и подпевала легендарному Леонарду Коэну.
- Уже в пятимесячном возрасте Кристина появилась в рекламе подгузников! А когда её сверстники складывали из кубиков первые слова, девочка вовсю снималась в сериале «Дни нашей жизни» — вместе с мамой.
- В 13 лет Кристина появилась в роли юной Грейс Келли, а в 17 бросила школу, чтобы полностью посвятить себя Келли Банди — недалекой, но приятной во всех отношениях героине ситкома «Женаты… с детьми».
- В середине 90-х на белокурую телезвезду обратили внимание мастера арт-хауса — Тим Бертон и Грегг Араки. И хотя её имя попало в титры таких культовых фильмов как Марс атакует! и «Нигде», Эпплгейт словно смотрела в воду. После того как «Женаты… с детьми» закончился, актрису начали заваливать предложениями играть пустоголовых блондинок.
